Professional Manicure Procedures, Client Safety & Service Standards

Students learn how to move through a professional manicure service in an organized sequence, from consultation and workstation preparation through nail shaping, nail repair, polish application, hand and arm massage, optional spa or paraffin steps, aftercare communication, cleanup, and documentation.

Instructor demonstrations and supervised practice emphasize hygienic setup, appropriate product handling, client comfort, contraindication awareness, consistent service procedures, and professional communication.

Students also learn to recognize visible nail or skin characteristics and client information that may require a service to be modified, postponed, declined, or referred to an appropriate healthcare professional.

The program focuses on cosmetic hand and nail care. It does not qualify graduates to diagnose, prevent, or treat nail diseases, infections, skin disorders, circulatory conditions, or other medical concerns.
