Professional Nail Enhancement Application, Structure & Service Standards
Students learn how to move through a professional nail enhancement service in an organized sequence, from consultation and natural nail preparation through product selection, application, shaping, structural refinement, finishing, cleanup, documentation and post-service communication.
Instructor demonstrations and supervised practice emphasize controlled product placement, appropriate length and shape, balance, durability, maintenance requirements, client comfort, hygienic workstation setup and consistent service procedures.
Students also learn to recognize visible nail or skin characteristics and client information that may require an enhancement service to be modified, postponed, declined or referred to an appropriate healthcare professional.
The program focuses on cosmetic nail enhancement services. It does not qualify graduates to diagnose or treat nail disease, fungal infection, bacterial infection, skin disorders, allergic reactions or other medical conditions.
Peel Public Health identifies nail services as personal services subject to provincial infection-prevention requirements and local inspection. (Peel Region – Personal Services)
