Hands-On Training for Professional Spa Body Services
Training focuses on planning and delivering non-clinical spa body services in a supervised learning environment. Students develop familiarity with client consultation, service preparation, hygiene and disinfection, contraindications, product selection, oil blending, body exfoliation, spa wraps, heat-based applications, hot stone use, aromatherapy, and relaxation-focused spa techniques.
Anatomy and physiology content supports service planning, client comfort, and recognition of situations in which a service may need to be modified, postponed, or declined. Students also review client records, professional conduct, spa-service flow, and introductory marketing considerations.
Completion of this certificate alone does not qualify graduates to use the protected titles Massage Therapist, Registered Massage Therapist, MT, or RMT, or to represent their services as regulated Massage Therapy in Ontario.
