Meet Donna Kalsey, Founder & Director of Body Pro Beauty

Donna Kalsey is the Founder and Director of Body Pro Beauty & Aesthetics Academy Inc. in Brampton. A licensed, certified medical esthetician with a BA in Marketing, she has led the Academy since 2002 and remains involved in program oversight, instructor guidance, student mentorship and the review of public-facing educational content.

Why I Founded Body Pro Beauty
When I began building my own education in aesthetics, I kept thinking about the kind of school I wished had existed: a place where professional knowledge, practical development, mentorship and the business side of the industry could come together.
That idea became Body Pro Beauty. I wanted to create an Academy where students could build their knowledge step by step, ask questions, practise what they were learning and receive guidance as they developed their abilities.
I am still closely connected to the Academy and continue to be involved with our programs, instructors and students because I believe good education requires attention, reflection and the willingness to keep improving what we do.
Professional Background & Credentials
Donna’s professional background combines medical esthetics, advanced aesthetics education and formal business study.
Licensed & Certified Medical Esthetician
Donna’s medical esthetics background provides the professional foundation for her long-standing work in aesthetics education and Academy leadership.
Advanced Aesthetics Certifications
Donna has completed every advanced aesthetics certification program offered in Ontario over the course of her career.
B.A. in Marketing
Donna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing, complementing her professional aesthetics background with formal business education.
Donna’s continuing professional development also includes business coaching and advanced leadership certifications.
Donna’s experience in career education dates back to Body Pro Beauty’s early years, when she was among the early aesthetics-school operators working within Ontario’s Private Career College framework.
How Donna Leads Body Pro Beauty Today
Donna remains directly involved in the Academy’s leadership and educational direction. Her involvement connects program oversight, instructor support and the information Body Pro Beauty provides to prospective students. This helps maintain continuity between the Academy’s educational direction and how its programs are communicated publicly.
Program Oversight
Donna oversees Body Pro Beauty’s educational programs and the information used to describe them to prospective students. This includes helping ensure that program information remains aligned with the Academy’s current educational direction.
Instructor Guidance & Student Mentorship
Her role includes instructor guidance and student mentorship as learners develop their skills and progress through their education. This ongoing involvement keeps Donna connected to the learning experience across the Academy.
Educational Content Review
Donna reviews Academy-authored public content for factual accuracy, clarity, current information, source transparency where applicable and usefulness to prospective students.
Donna’s Approach to Education and Mentorship
I believe students benefit from understanding why they are doing something, having opportunities to practise what they learn and receiving guidance when they need to correct or refine their approach.
One of the things that has meant the most to me is seeing students come to Body Pro because a friend or family member trained here before them. Over the years, I have seen those connections continue across generations.
What matters to me is maintaining an Academy environment where students can ask questions, develop their abilities and receive guidance throughout their education.
